The cause of plague was unknown until 1894 CE, when the bacterium Yersinia pestis was identified and has since been understood as the cause of most plagues. There are three types of plagues and, although some outbreaks in history may have been typhus or smallpox, they are still referred to as plague. These plagues are known as Bubonic, Septicemic and Pneumonic.
the human race has been faced with many plagues throughout history, and as we are all aware, have the ability to destabilise and reduce populations, even in the modern day. Throughout this present Covid-19 pandemic, the best thing we can do is stay inside, stay healthy, and practice social distancing to slow the spread.
