A modern recreation of the Battle of Cape Ecnomus (256 BCE) by Radu Oltean. The battle was fought between the forces of the Roman Republic, led by Marcus Atilius Regulus and Lucius Manlius Vulso Longus, and the Carthaginian navy led by Hamilcar Barca (c. 285 – c. 228 BCE) and Hanno the Great.
