Kim Martins

Kim Martins I was 10 years old when my mother bought me a picture book on Ancient Egypt. From that moment on, I was obsessed with history - how people once lived, what religion or beliefs informed their society, and how a particular historical era ended. I have a B.A. (Hons) degree in History and studied ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, and Israel; as well as medieval history, the British empire and the era of colonialism, Russian history, Australian history, and modern America. I taught History for many years before becoming a writer.

I have been fortunate enough to travel to some intriguing places: Bhutan, Namibia, Mozambique, Nicaragua, to name a few. In each destination, I find spectacular examples of historical sites; myths and legends; and amazing stories of heroic explorers. For me, history is alive and well wherever you look.
