The cuneiform inscription on this alabaster vessel mentions that it belongs to king Sargon II. Neo-Assyrian Period, reign of Sargon II, 721-705 BCE. From the North-West Palace at Nimrud, Northern Mesopotamia, modern-day Iraq. (British Museum, London)
