Reconstructed Funerary Temple in the Moselle Valley — Along the entire Moselle from Trier to Koblenz in Germany, archaeologists have found remains of Roman estates, temples, mausolea, and various wine presses at the foot of several vineyard slopes. Nehren was apparently the location of a large Roman villa where wine was produced. The landowners found their last resting place high above the estate. Two small funerary temples have now been reconstructed. Wall paintings from the left-hand burial chamber have survived and can be viewed through a window.
