A photorealistic reconstruction of what the Roman emperor Carinus (r. 283-285 CE) may have looked like. Based on contemporary and near contemporary descriptions, as well as archaeological evidence. Pictured alongside the reconstruction is a bust of Carinus from the Centrale Montemartini Museum. Made using Photoshop and Artbreeder, a neural net tool.
