Artist's impression of a view across the Agora on an early summer evening, looking southeast towards the Acropolis. Trees and plants had been planted in the Agora from the time of Cimon in the mid fifth century BC. Left of centre is the Altar of the Twelve Gods, while to the right, men gather beside the Royal Stoa. In the background can be seen the statue of Zeus outside the stoa dedicated to him, as well as the South Stoa, the southeast fountain house, and the Mint.
