In his new work the author recapitulates concisely his concepts about historical and political science. Continuing his project of an "otherwise happened history" he reveals an array of political phenomena from Antiquity and poses them in vivid, close nearness to Modernity. By discovering or unmasking of several concealed background-scenarios of political history, inclusively some unknown, occasionally secret motives of great policy-makers, the author highlights momentous or even monumental events being relevant for our modern civilization, too. Problems of military and economy, questions of international law, experiences of a two-party-system, the issue of living standard, the real basic factors of growth and grandeur are also addressed. In all analyses as inherent "leitmotiv" runs through the thought of enhancement of political culture by historical experiences - a key-concern in our turbulent epoch.
