This book presents the results of the excavations in Pergamon of the Hellenistic and Roman house of the Dionysiac association of the Bukoloi. It contains a detailed description of the building and the finds, as well as a review of the cult of Dionysus in the city. Using the results from Pergamon as a starting point, the volume also includes a study of the typology of buildings with sacred dining rooms with podia in the ancient world, taking into account all relevant examples from the Archaic period to Late Antiquity.
