A study of one of the most important statuary groups from Classical Antiquity: the Farnese Bull in the National Museum in Naples. Using the historical materials associated with the Hellenistic sculpture, the author ascertains the form of the original group which is now lost, and follows the history of the work through antiquity to early Christian times.
