Arkalochori (also Arkalokhori) is a modern city in Crete and the archaeological site of a Minoan sacred cave in eastern Crete. The sacred cave was used from 2500 to 1450 BC. The bronze Arkalochori Axe is a 2nd millennium BC Minoan votive double axe excavated by Spyridon Marinatos in 1934 in the Arkalochori cave on Crete and has an inscription of fifteen symbols.
