This is the most recent report on the excavations of the ancient city of Morgantina in Siciliy. It reports on the excavation of 67 tombs which range in date from the first Greek colonies in the later 8th century BC to the late 5th century BC. The custom was to bury groups of adults together in rock-cut chambers. There are detailed reports on the tombs themselves, the pottery, and finds from the graves which included jewellery, terracottas and weapons and there is a full catalogue.
