Joshua J. Mark is a freelance writer and scholar who has lived in Greece and Germany, traveled through Egypt, and presently lives in upstate New York with his family. He is co-founder, editor, and a director of Ancient History Encyclopedia. His published fiction includes `When There Were Trees', `Black Rose', `The Last Chance', and `Asking for Life' among other stories in print and on-line. His non-fiction has also appeared in the magazines Celtic Guide, Ancient Planet Online Journal, and Timeless Travels writing on Scotland, Mesopotamia, and Ireland. Mark is a part-time philosophy professor and writing tutor at Marist College where he is a past recipient of the Faculty of the Year Award and the Special Services Award of Merit.
